Mythological Final Project

Apologies for that weird black line. The original piece was too big for my scanner so I had to scan it four times and stitch it all together somehow. Hopefully you can ignore the sloppiness of the stitching.

In any case, this is the final project for my art class. We had to create 7+ panels of a recurring theme, and I chose "mythological beasts" as my poison. Some things I like, some I don't. I think my Norse monsters turned out quite nicely whereas I could've done soooo much better with, say, the Roc and/or Anubis. Bleh.

Starting from top left:
Arabian mythological bird of prey - Roc
Greek half-man half-bull - Minotaur
Oriental (because it's in Chinese, Japanese, AND Korean mythology) nine-tailed fox woman - Kumiho (the Korean name)
Japanese sickle-weasel spirit - Kamaitachi
Norse world-serpent - Jormungandr
Egyptian god of the dead - Anubis (He's a god, but has the head of a beast so he counts)
Norse wolf who consumes the sun and moon - Fenris/Fenrir
Greek multi-headed serpent - Hydra
